Maroon 5 is Still Busting the Block with Their Latest Single “Payphone”

With 20 more days until the release of their next album titled Overexposed Maroon 5 blasted their way through the top 3 spot in the music billboards with their newest single “Payphone” featuring Wiz Khalifa (Cameron Jibril Thomaz). Maroon 5’s newest album is slated to be released on June 6, 2012 but fans are already enjoying the tune and mix of their new song with the high pitched and packed with awesome confidence voice of lead vocalist Adam Lavine.

The band has already enjoyed a huge success with their three previous albums, namely Songs About Jane (released June 25, 2002), It Won’t Be Soon Before Long (released May 22, 2007) and The B-Side Collection (released December 18, 2007). Their albums reached gold, platinum and triple platinum status in copies sold all over the world and their music garnered them 6 Grammy Awards nominations and 3 wins as well as 15 other awards from various music award giving bodies. Their rise to fame was well deserved and they have put it to good use. For instance they’re supporting various charitable organizations such as the Green Music Group, Amnesty International, BID 2 BEAT AIDS, MusiCares, Children’s Miracle Hospital Network and many more.

Their fourth album is also expected to reach gold and platinum labels upon its release on June the 6th and fans are eagerly waiting to listen to some new grooves from their music. Their latest hit single “Payphone” also features Wiz Khalifa – the 25 year old rapper from Pittsburgh who has also made a stunning music career since his debut album Show and Prove released 6 years ago. This kind of trend has helped boost artists careers in music because fans from both sides will come to recognize both artists and will probably share their support on either side of the fence.
